Outlook Express -
Windows 95, 98, 98SE, ME
To setup Outlook Express
to use your CommRich E-mail you need to create an 'Account' within the
program. An account in this context is a profile containing all the required
settings and information to be able to send and receive e-mail with our
servers.
Outlook express organises
this information from the 'Internet Accounts' window. To reach this
window click on the 'Tools' menu and then select the menu item
called 'Accounts'. See the picture below.

When you've clicked on
this line a new window will appear called 'Internet Accounts'. In
this window a box with four 'tabs' at the top will be displayed. Click on
the third tab labelled 'Mail' to show which accounts you have set
up
for your system.
The picture of the window below shows that no accounts have been set up.
Don't worry if yours doesn't look exactly like this.
If you need to add an
account click on the button at the top labelled 'Add' and a small
box with some options will pop-up. In this box choose the option for 'Mail'
to enter the wizard for a new e-mail account.

In the first box enter
your name where it says 'Display name', then click next.
The second screen (see
picture below) is where you enter your default e-mail address. Your
default e-mail address will depend whether you have a sub-domain (anybody@sample.commrich.net)
or a full-domain (anybody@commrich.co.uk).
For example purposes, 'root@sample.commrich.net' is shown in the
picture. You can put any valid e-mail address you wish such as 'anybody@sample.commrich.net'.
You can if you wish, add
more e-mail addresses to your CommRich account. This enables you to have
individual e-mail addresses that will not be picked up by 'root@'. An
example of this would be a personal e-mail address for home use only.
When you have entered the
e-mail address, click next to continue.

The third screen (see
picture below) is titled 'E-Mail Server Names'. The box at the top
must have 'POP3' selected. Enter the Incoming mail server as 'mail.sample.commrich.net'
(for sub-domains) or 'mail.commrich.co.uk' (for full
domains).
The Outgoing mail server is 'smtp.sample.commrich.net' (for
sub-domains) or 'smtp.commrich.co.uk' (for full
domains).

The fourth screen (see
picture below) requires the details for your 'Internet Nail Logon'.
Enter your username, which will be your e-mail address in the 'Account
Name' box.
If you have only one e-mail address this will be 'root@sample.commrich.net'.
The 'root@' signifies that you will collect all the e-mails for the
domain 'sample.commrich.net'. For example anybody who sends a message to
'info@sample.commrich.net'
will be picked up by 'root@sample.commrich.net'.
You can, if you wish, add
more e-mail addresses to your CommRich account. This enables you to have
individual e-mail addresses that will not be picked up by 'root@'. An
example of this would be a personal e-mail address for home use only. If
your address is 'john.demo@commrich.co.uk' then this is used as your
account name, with your personally allocated password.
If
you want to add new e-mail addresses or require more information about
additional e-mail boxes, please e-mail
support@commrich.net
In the 'Password' box, enter your password which was issued to you
when you signed up with the CommRich programme.

Click next to finish.
