Dial-Up Networking -
Windows 95, 98, 98SE, ME
Double click on 'My
Computer' and then double click 'Dial-Up Networking' icon. If
you can't find it, click in the View menu and select list.
Double click the 'Make
New Connection' wizard. The only details this wizard will require is the
name and telephone number. The telephone number for the CommRich Dial-Up
is '0845 604 2367'.

Now you have an icon for
your 'CommRich' connection, 'right-click' on it and select 'Properties'.
This will display the General tab, this is where you can change the
phone number as shown below.

Next, click on the tab
for 'Server Type', if you have a very old version of Windows 95
then you'll have a button for this instead.
At the top of the window select a Dial-Up server which starts with the
letters 'PPP', the rest of the line will vary depending on your version of
Windows.
Depending on which version of Windows you have there are either 6 or 8
small square boxes which may or may not have ticks in them. Turn off all
the ticks except TCP/IP (see above).
Click 'OK' and close all windows. You are now ready to connect to
the internet.

Double 'click' the
CommRich icon and you will see the above screen. Enter your user name and
password which was issued to you when you enrolled in the CommRich
programme.
When you have connected, you will notice an icon on your task bar next to
the system clock.
